ESCEM assumes NO LIABILITY for any costs if a student is not insured properly! By signing the application form, the student certifies that:
If (s)he is from the European Union, (s)he will provide his or her European Health Insurance Card (EHIC)
If (s)he is from a non-European Union country, (s)he will subscribe to the French Health Insurance scheme after arrival (213€ for 2014/2015).
The student releases ESCEM from any and all claims and causes.
All students must be covered for medical repatriation and civil liability!
Housing insurance:
Students usually subscribe a housing insurance with their bank (between 5 and 10 euros a month). This insurance will protect you in case of an accident (not caused by you) such as a flood or a fire. If you don’t have this insurance, the landlord has the right to refuse you access to the apartment.
